   Bread is the staff of life, and at Mandola's we have a passion for bread.

   Our baker, Jesus Guevara, started baking at a very young age at his father's bakery in Puebla, Mexico. Coming to the states, he honed his artisan bread baking skills at some of Houston's best bakeries. Chuy (Jesus) also studied artisan bread baking at The Culinary Institute in Hyde Park, New York. The result is Mandola's authentic rustic breads.

   Great breads take time and you can taste the results in our Pane Siciliano made with semolina flour and dusted with sesame seeds. Pane Pugliese with its crackly, dark crust and chewy interior, is a customer favorite. Other artisinal breads include, Ciabatta, Focaccia, Bread Sticks, Carta di Musica, and our great sandwich rolls, all baked fresh in our imported Italian stone hearth oven.

   Come taste and you will fall in love with our breads.
